Solatrium screened at the 16th annual Twin Rivers Multimedia Festival in Asheville, NC on Friday, May 28th. It was nice to screen in our home town again as an Official Selection for the festival.
Solatrium screened in the Genre Mash-up Shorts Program at the Maryland Film Festival on May 7th and 8th. The Baltimore City Paper writes, “Chris Bower’s Solatrium features pretty, dead-eyed Bria as the captain of a space tanker enduring the ennui of space life. Her solace is the meds she applies in patch form. Beautifully shot and disorientingly paced, Solatrium illustrates once again the old sci-fi adage: hallucinogens + prescription drug trial = space madness!”

After having it’s world premiere at Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, Solatrium will finally be screening for three nights at the Fine Arts Theater!

Solatrium will have it’s Asheville premiere on Thursday, February 25th at 7pm and will also play Friday the 26th and Saturday the 27th at 9pm at the Fine Arts Theater in downtown Asheville. We will also screen footage from Director Chris Bower’s documentary projects We Won’t Bow Down – about the Mardi Gras Indians – and The Holy Ghost Electric about the soul gospel circuit in the South.
While some people were drinking hot toddies and snuggling under down comforters, the Solatrium mobile unit was mashing up video on snow banks, buildings, and people on Main Street in Park City. Guerrilla film making meets mobile street promotion at Slamdance 2010!
